MUC T1 Airport Lounge World Review

I wanted to start a series of lounge reviews for a long time, so let’s do it now! I hope to get more or less stable system of criteria to rate the lounges I go to, so they can be at least somehow compared even though often there are not many different options in the given location.

Summary

Lounge – Airport Lounge World

Location – MUC Terminal 1, non-schengen departures, next to B10. The only Priority pass lounge here.Access – Priority Pass

Time of visit – 9:30, Saturday, 21st of December 2024

Details

Waiting time 5/5 – no wait, instant access.

Interior 5/5 – nice and bright, modern furniture, a lot of windows, soft seating.

Crowds 4/5 – plenty of seating space, not crowded at all.

Facilities – 5/5, shower included. And something quite outstanding as I haven’t seen it anywhere else – luggage storage available as self-service lockers

Food – 4/5 – relatively small selection, basically just scrambled eggs and some baked potatoes with eggs and onions and, of course, regular buffet with cheeses, ham and bread (buns, brezels), yogurts and cereals. I hope it is more diverse for lunch or dinner times. Nevertheless, eggs with cheese and cucumbers and tomatoes were really good, perfect for second breakfast.

Extra notes:

  • no normal still water, bottles are ugly “mineral” water with very specific taste. But tap water is drinkable in Germany, so not a big deal.

Bottom line

Bottom line – 4.5/5, solid lounge, the only one in the terminal with Priority Pass. Food might have been a bit more diverse, extra points for luggage storage.
